Circle – Where does your product impact data actually live

The Circle — Ecochain Roundtable Sessions

Where does your product impact data actually live?

A small group conversation about building one data foundation that serves LCAs, EPDs, Scope 3 and the next customer request

A customer asks for an EPD. Finance needs the Scope 3 number, a tender wants recycled content per article number, and the same product data gets pulled together again in a new spreadsheet each time.

The data usually exists somewhere – in the ERP, in a PIM, in a supplier folder, in last year’s LCA model. What’s missing is a version of it that’s trusted enough to answer the next question without rebuilding it first. So every request starts closer to zero than it should.

In this session of The Circle, we’re putting that to the room: where should product impact data live, and who in the organisation owns it?

What we’ll get into

  • Where the data sits today – ERP, PIM, LCA software, spreadsheets – and what breaks when it sits in several of them at once.
  • Who owns it. Sustainability, procurement and product data teams all touch the same fields, often with slightly different definitions for what looks like the same request.
  • Answering many questions from one foundation: LCA, PCF, EPD, Scope 3, CBAM and customer questionnaires, without collecting the data again for each.
  • How good the foundation has to be before it’s useful, and when waiting for better data costs more than it’s worth.

Who this is for: sustainability managers and specialists, LCA practitioners, product and master data managers, ESG and reporting leads, and procurement sustainability leads at manufacturers.

How it works: 60 minutes on Google Meet, capped at 25 people so everyone can speak. Off the record, no recording. Themes are shared anonymised afterwards, along with links and any questions we don’t get to.
